April an avid daily journal writer, aerobics enthusiast, a marching band/thespian mom, and writer on the fly. She has published articles in Memphis Parent Magazine, DeSoto Appeal, DeSoto Times Tribune, and Parent Guide News. She covers a wide variety of topics with a particular focus on parenting, sports, and women’s health issues. Two of her stories have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. Married for 16 years to David, her wonderful husband, they live in Mississippi and have 2 children. One on his way to college in September of 2016 and one going to 8th grade. 2 little dogs and a Russian Blue Cat named Bear round out their family.

She loves to discuss the benefits of exercise to all ages, what the Bible says about verbal abuse, the importance of leaving a godly legacy, and the lovely ups and downs of being a parent of children with disabilities.
